Gassed Up started in the spring of 2007 after the passing of Bill Gaston, for which this Camp is named. Bill ran a football camp for youth athletes for more than 15 years and was the motivating factor for many parents to become coaches. Bill also had many other affiliations and responsibilities within the community as it pertained to the development of youth.
Bill ran his camp with high energy, a loud voice, and his signature red shoes. If you look around the camp each year, you will see tributes to Bill with many people wearing red shoes. His legacy of teaching the game of football while reminding the players of their responsibilities in society will be passed on for many camps to come.
Gassed UP is a non-profit organization. All proceeds are distributed to the needs of the community with a focus on children.
If you would like to submit a special need for funds please contact the Camp Director.
(Note: funds distributed for the 2008 and 2009 camps have been allotted)
